Church family,

Over the last year our elders and staff have been thinking through this question: How can we continue to grow in our mission to cultivate life in Christ, life together, and life on mission? Five years into life at Mosaic with a consolidated staff team felt like the right time to pan out, take stock of all that God has done and is doing at Mosaic, and consider how we can continue to refine and coordinate our ministry efforts. This work requires refreshed reflection on our continued, basic convictions and how these convictions get expressed in our formal efforts.

We thought it wise to do two things at this point: 1) encourage you to consider what meaningful, sustainable participation in the corporate life of Mosaic looks like for you; and 2) let you know now about a new cadence of ministry programming.

Meaningful Participation
Moving forward at Mosaic we want to highlight the following as the first steps to meaningful belonging at Mosaic Church:

  • Weekly Corporate Worship
  • Monthly Prayer Night
  • Monthly Serving
  • Regular Financial Giving
  • Meaningful Membership (and Baptism) || If you’d like to sign up for an upcoming membership class, you can find them here.

A New Cadence in Ministry Programming
On the foundation of basic meaningful participation, we want to invite all members and attendees at Mosaic to pursue involvement in a discipleship ministry. We will begin a new cadence of adult ministry programming on a “Year A” and “Year B” framework. We believe this new cadence will optimize meaningful participation in our ministry programming for our members.

Mosaic “Year A” || For this year - we will offer the year-long Forge Program, MBS/WBS in the Fall and Spring, and Mosaic Groups over the course of the year.

Mosaic “Year B” || For this year - we will offer Passage in the Fall, Flourish/Arise in the Spring, MBS/WBS in the Fall and Spring, and Mosaic Groups over the course of the year.

This means that in any given semester there will only be three ongoing adult discipleship spaces. Our hope in streamlining our efforts is that we simplify participation for the people of Mosaic and foster sustainability for the leadership of our ministries.

In addition to these ongoing ministries each year, we will provide a handful of training, fellowship and outreach events each Fall, Spring, and Summer. These will be one-time events for us to dive deeper into learning, fellowship, and engagement with our neighbors.

In an effort to help you prepare for this next year, we have provided an outline of our programming for the next 12 months. We hope this forecast allows you to consider and plan for a meaningful pursuit of deeper discipleship in the next year.

We love you and we look forward to continuing down the way of Jesus alongside you.

Grace and Peace,
Mosaic Staff and Elders
